Terms of Service

01. Agreement to Terms & Eligibility

By accessing or using mooted.me (the "Platform"), operated by TODO: Legal Entity Name (e.g., Mooted Technologies Zambia Limited) ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must discontinue access immediately.

You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and legally competent to enter into these Terms under the laws of Zambia.

02. Zero Real-World Identifiable Information (PII) Mandate

In strict compliance with the Zambia Data Protection Act No. 3 of 2021, healthcare professional ethics, and attorney-client privilege:

• Prohibition on Real Patient Data: You must NEVER enter real patient names, national registration numbers (NRC), hospital file numbers, diagnostic lab results, or confidential medical charts into any simulation. All clinical inputs must be strictly fictional or fully anonymized.
• Prohibition on Active Litigation Data: You must NEVER enter privileged client communications, non-public court pleadings, confidential witness statements, or active trade secrets into the courtroom arena.
• Automated Redaction & Rejection: The platform employs automated regex screening for Zambian phone numbers (+260), national registration numbers (NRC), email addresses, and names. Submissions triggering privacy thresholds are rejected with HTTP 400.

03. Acceptable Use & Platform Security

You agree to use mooted.me solely for lawful academic and educational purposes. You agree NOT to:

• Attempt prompt-injection attacks, jailbreaks, system-prompt extraction, or reverse-engineering of grading rubrics and hidden medical diagnoses.
• Use automated bots, scrapers, headless browsers, or scripts to harvest simulations, question variations, or performance data. Automated clients are screened by Arcjet WAF Shield and blocked.
• Circumvent, bypass, or tamper with guest session quotas (5 turns/case, 3 cases/24h) or authenticated token meters using cookie manipulation or IP rotation.
• Submit prompts that violate intellectual property, contain defamatory material, or generate hate speech or harassment.
• Submit prompts exceeding platform limits: inputs are strictly capped at 150 words and 1,500 characters per turn.

04. Intellectual Property & Simulation Content

The platform architecture, user interfaces, simulation orchestration logic, scoring rubrics, and brand assets are the exclusive intellectual property of mooted.me and its licensors.

You retain ownership of original text arguments you submit during simulations. You grant mooted.me a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process and transmit your inputs to automated AI providers solely to generate simulation responses and evaluations.

05. Account Suspension & Right to Terminate

We reserve the right to immediately suspend, throttle, or terminate your account or guest session without prior notice if we reasonably suspect:

• A breach of our Zero Real-World PII Mandate;
• Security probing, prompt-injection attacks, or DDoS attempts;
• Automated scraping or commercial exploitation of simulation data; or
• Abuse of API token allowances.

06. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

AS-IS SERVICE PROVISION

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY OF AI OUTPUTS, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE UNDER APPLICABLE ZAMBIAN LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MOOTED.ME, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES RESULTING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON SIMULATION RESPONSES OR INABILITY TO ACCESS THE SERVICE.

07. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Laws of the Republic of Zambia.

The courts of Zambia shall have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms.

08. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When changes occur, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the platform after the effective date of revised terms constitutes your binding acceptance.
